At the ESi, we want to enable everyone to Enjoying the mountains and the pleasures of skiing. Our handiski and taxi ski services are intended for people with disabilities or reduced mobility. They allow you to discover or rediscover the sensations of skiing in an adapted setting, accompanied by professionals who are aware of the specificities of welcoming people with disabilities.
Each practitioner has different needs, abilities, and goals. That’s why the support is defined based on your autonomy, of your physical abilities and your experience. Before the launch, the monitor will chat with you to determine the most suitable solution. The goal is to offer you a comfortable, secure, and above all, enjoyable experience.

A practice adapted to each person
Handicraft allows people who cannot ski on their own with conventional equipment to discover the sensations of skiing in a different way. Depending on the practitioner’s abilities, different solutions can be considered. The choice of equipment and the type of practice depends, in particular, on your level of autonomy and your ability to actively participate in operating the device.
The instructors take the time to introduce the equipment and explain the course of the session. They then adapt their guidance to the reactions and expectations of each person. This gradual approach helps to create an atmosphere of trust and to make the most of the outing.
Not all schools offer the same type of equipment; it is advisable to check in advance about the available equipment.
The sensations of skiing
The sessions Handiski They allow you to discover or practice skiing with equipment specially designed to meet the different needs of people with disabilities. Depending on the situation, the practice can be autonomous or accompanied by a specialized instructor.
The instructor ensures that the session is adapted to the level of the practitioner and the conditions encountered on the ski slope. The first exercises allow the equipment to be mastered and the practitioner to gradually find their bearings again. The outing can then evolve according to the wishes and abilities of each person.
