ESI has 1804 ski instructors.

In a major step, blue is adopted as the colour for all Ecole de Ski Internationale instructor uniforms.

Adrénaline in Verbier becomes the first Swiss ski school to join the ESI.

The syndicate has 1206 members.
1992
Pierre Cornillat steps down and Philippe Camus is elected president.

The number of schools continues to rise. Ski schools adapt and turn their attention to the online market.
1989
The numbers of Ecoles de Ski Internationales increase and in 1989 the syndicate has 50 schools.
1985
France’s ‘loi montagne’ comes into effect in 1985, development of ski resorts, the market is booming.
1984
The syndicate numbers 15 ski schools.
1977
Creation of the syndicate of international ski schools. The instructors behind its creation want a different system; one that gets young instructors involved and develops to meet the needs of clients. Small and friendly schools whose priorities are listening to clients and flexibility. Pierre Cornillat is elected president of the syndicate.

The first schools: Flaine ski school, Top ski in Val d’Isère, Snow fun in Val d’Isère.
