SIMS, the Syndicat International des Moniteurs de Ski (International Union of Ski Instructors), brings together ski professionals under a single banner, the 'ESI' or Ecole de Ski Internationale (International School of Skiing) with the aim of providing high-quality ski instruction.
The SIMS is a professional union and is subject to French law.
On the wider European level, the ESI also has schools in Switzerland and Italy.
The ESI allows each school to develop its own image and style, while also giving prominence to its membership of an umbrella body.
The professionals who form the core of the ESI are committed to providing a high-quality service. Smaller group sizes, for example, guarantee higher quality instruction as well as better relations between students and instructors.
